Program Goals
The INTERLINK language program is designed to offer the following:
- Intensive English language training for university-bound students as well as those who need to improve their English for personal and professional reasons in a student-centered, nurturing environment.
- Cultural orientation to:
- help students pass through the various stages of adjustment and emotional growth in their new environment;
- encourage awareness, understanding, and acceptance of the values and customs of people from different cultures and countries;
- promote mutual understanding and positive relationships on campus and in the community.
- A holistic, pedagogically sound, approach to instruction in English in a supportive nurturing environment.
- A student-centered curriculum emphasizing content-based learning and integrating formal and experiential learning.
- Academic preparation to assist students with development of critical/analytical skills and strategies necessary to become an independent learner and succeed in an American university.
